About a year ago when LO was just a few months old I started losing some hair which is a pretty common post-partum side effect. It's been a year and I'm not really happy with how much my hair has grown in and thinking about trying nioxin. There are so many products however I don't know how to start. Does anyone have experience with nioxin products and/or hair regrowth?

My husband swears by it. I'm not sure it really helps hair growth rather it stops further hair loss.

First I'd go to your dr and get your hormone levels checked. If its still going on from pregnancy you may just be a little off balance. If not maybe this is the new you? Babies do damage to a moms body!

But for the nioxin I would totally recommend it. I use it from time to fine and it feels wonderful. It really can't hurt either. It's a great place to start.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. It seems that it is safe to use during BF so no harm in trying it. I got Level 1, I hope that does work. I'm not bald or anything, it just seems like my hair is thinner and there is new hair growth so it looks like I have bangs now (which I DON"T want lol)

My hair came back in the same way. It does look like I have bangs now. My hairdresser said that was really common and just to give it some time to grow back :)

Hi, nioxin is a really good product, i'm a hairdresser and we sell it at the salon, its a 30 day money back guarantee so worth a try! x

I think the herb saw palmetto can be used for hair loss, but you might want to google it as I think it may interfere with the bcp!

I completely agree with ^^^

Mine has grown back quite thick and wavy from the roots but the ends are so straggly it looks awful! My hairdresser said the best thing to do is grow it out for as long as I can stand it then have it cut with layers when the re-growth is long enough. I had only just got the re-growth back from my first pregnancy when it started all over again so now I have three separate lots of hair growing through!

Pregnancy is amazing isn't it? What a wild ride!
