The title is a bit of a clue, but what's everyone planning to do with their "downstairs" (for lack of better words, and trying not to be explicit :haha:)?

it's just i think, ohh i'm sure the midwives see allsorts they don't care.. but then again i think, maybe most people do something, or not..

i think there was a thread about it ages ago, but i couldn't find it.. Lool.. :(
i looked up a full bikini wax the other day it was £45!!
xxxx

About a week or so ago I just went for it blindly and used the mirror for a bit of help lol! It didnt turn out too bad to be honest, but I figure Im not going to do it again as now its just nicely trim :) To be honest, Ive kind of given up caring lol!

As long as I don't look like I have a tree growing down there then Im happy :D x

I really dont know! I mean, its usually all off lol but its getting pretty hard to do that now and I end up leaving it for a while and it looks a mess haha TMI :)

I might just pop in the shower at the beginning of labour and shave it all off :haha:

I cant be dealing with waxing, knowing my luck I will go overdue and it will have grown bk anyways

xx

:haha: see i was thinking of going for it blindly - but it'd probably just end up with bald patches.. and i'm scared of cutting myself..

:haha: ohh gawdd, steph, i think in labour it'll be the last thing on my mind, but afterwards i'll be like

i think it's okay at the moment, i did it not too long ago, i just can't actually see down there..
was curious what everyone else is doing, just going for the "i don't care" or if everyone actually was planning to maintain it..
xxxx

I didn't touch mine and TBH you'll probably be in too much discomfort to care who looks where! If you need stitches they MW's cut your hair away a bit if they need to get to that area... they probably do that multiple times a day :) Xx

ugh i dunno, but im nearly 14 weeks and really should do something about it again lmao its been too much effort for the 1st tri but now im in 2nd i feel okay so i should do it while i can

I was wondering the same thing what others are doing, its hard enough to do now with a mirror, so when im even bigger it will be even harder i think.. ill see lolx x

ill be in labour soon, and i was wondering what on earth do i do!? leave it or shave..  ive decided to leave it, as midwives see allsorts anyway! :haha:

yeah i thought i'll probably leave it - and ohhh Natasha2605 - you've got me thinking - and maybe they get special hair dressers for that area :winkwink:

but yeah - i'm hoping to have a water birth, so hopefully it won't be so obvious?
xx

I used to do mine once a week and get a mirror :haha: Tbh I can't remember nor did I care what mine looked like in labour but I'm pretty sure as I was in the end induced that I did see to it a couple of days before my induction :haha: The midwifes see alsorts they probably don't care at all, I know if I was a midwife I wouldn't be comparing peoples bits lol

i spose they get a bit preoccupied with the rest of it, to care - plus they see all sorts, might bring it up as my "labour conversation starter"
or maybe i should grow it into a heartshape and dye it pink?! they might talk then :winkwink:
xxxxx

I shaved it yesterday with the aid of a mirror but it's still uneven :haha:
Think I'll just be leaving it now it's too much effort. As long as I don't look like a cavewoman down there I might just put up with it.

Ive just trimmed it, with an electric shaver was IMPOSSIBLE!! but i really dont care now, i just want baby out! xx

ohhh emilyyy, you're over nowwww!! :( least you'll deffinatly have your bubba in less than two weeks thoughh!!!!
i'm so fed up, and i've got two weeks till my due date - you must be going crazyy!!
xxxx

Ages ago i used to think to myself once i get big and cant see it i really need to keep on top of it and make sure its nice and tidy but now its come to it i really cant be asked!!
Its a mess down there, I think i am gonna do it once in the next few days and then just leave it, atleast it wont be as bad as it is now
xx

afterwards, i'm gunna have to get a lawnmower - or hedge trimmers at least probably :haha: i haven't seen down there in a while!!
xxx

i didnt do mine actually by request of the consultant  as i was having a planned c-section he said its better for the healing process as stubbly shavers rash can irritate the wound and make healing time longer, so i would say not to do it incase you end up having an emergancy c-section as no one knows exactly what will happen during labour and birth and thought of itchy horrible shavers rash whilst having a huge gash across my stomach doesnt sound nice!
my external scar was completely healed within 14 days so i was quite lucky. xx

i kinda managed to shave the other day. using an electic lady shaver and a mirror lol. kinda managed it, but still managed to cut myself a few times

it's looking kinda acceptable the now. better than the bush i had last week :haha:

xx

i was actually lucky and never had a problem shaving so when i went into labour i had a shower and did it then so was all neat when i got to hospital lol.
