Not strictly on topic but I LOVE Halloween! What's everyone doing? Do you decorate the house?

We went pumpkin picking today and they're so pretty I don't want to carve them - so I'm going to get some cheap ones from Morrisons to carve :haha:

I decorate a little bit but just a couple of candle holders and that type of thing.
We will go trick or treating and i'm taking my oldest to 'frightwater valley' at lightwater valley and he wants to see hotel Transylvania 2 in the holidays. Will do pumpkin carving and crafts and i'll do them a little halloween picnic with themed foods.
I love halloween and so does my oldest, youngest not so much he gets a bit too scared.

We are hopefully going to a farm near us where you can pick a pumpkin and they do pumpkin races etc. Also eldest has a Halloween night at school. Will dress them both up to give sweets to trick or treaters.

My ds prefers halloween over christmas! He loves anything spooky (but not too scary!)
We have a few decorations for mainly his room. Will carve a couple of pumpkins too.
There is a party in our village which we'll go to, and our closest town has a lantern parade, which we'll go to instead of trick or treat.... I hate trick or treat!

We do a few decorations and we got trick or treating then come home and have a Halloween themed tea party, glad it falls on a Saturday this year, means hubby will be home

When does everyone start decorating? I've had mine up a lil while now  We've done the fireplace but will probably do the window Halloween week. Here's ours..

I really detest my ugly council fire so I tend to over-compensate by putting as many pretty things around it as I can fit :haha:

I love Halloween! Halloween means it's nearly christmas. I'm decorating tomorrow hopefully.
We're going trick or treating this year, only around my street. Never been before! :)

We don't decorate the house, OH isn't too fussed about Halloween. Last year my sister and I did a pumpkin for Alex, so might do one this year if my sister is off (she needs to get everything out as I can't haha).
We're taking the kids to a Halloween disco, Alex is a mummy/zombie and Scarlett is a little witch :) depending what time we are home, we will pop to my mums trick or treating.

I've not put anything yet but i did have a big clean/sort of the living room today so will probs do it next weekend :)

yesterday i bought two poison glass jar cups for the kids for halloween drinks and a skull shaped larged plate thing and need to dig out whats leftover from last year.

I like this :).... It has a more autumny feel to it than halloween, so you can get away with it earlier and for longer :)

We are going trick or treating in our old village. Last year was the first year we went and as we lived on the out skirts of the village down an unlit country road no one ever knocked our door in 8 years there, so I was suprised hope many people were out and how many houses were lit and that it was actually fun! We were never allowed as kids.
I don't know what this areas like for trick or treating and I will only go to houses of people I know and are decorated, but we don't know anyone here so I'd rather go the 5 minute drive there lol

Ooooh, I love Halloween, any excuse to decorate.
We make a little display in the playroom window, spooky wreath & doorbell, lots of cobwebs & bugs on the fence. I also dress up to hand out the treats using a bowl that grabs the children's hands.
This year I'm adding more outdoor bits, a witch crashed high up on the phone pole & witch legs coming out the hedge at the front, maybe a little graveyard in the garden.
I hid the witch mannequin legs under Daisy's bed to scare her when she got home but ended up making myself jump every time I went by her room.

HAH we have almost the same fire... Ures is a tad nicer imo. :haha: are you stuck with it because of the back boiler?! I want it out but not at the expense of my bank balance ahaha.

Yep! :dohh:
I thought I was rid of it a couple of years ago when the front fell off, but they just came and replaced it with a black front (it used to be green ) I hate it to death!

Those legs are awesome! Lucas would kill me if I did anything like that :haha: I told him I want to hang up some toy spiders but he said he'll move out :haha:

Kate the mannequin legs are giving me an endless amount of amusement.

I put my PJ bottoms & socks on the legs then stuck them out the end of the bed, got into bed as normal so it made me look 11ft tall, shouted my OH to come upstairs - he walked in rolled his eyes & exited the room.
My next plan is to put my skinny jeans & boots on them & place them under my car on the drive for when OH arrives home. Not sure yet if this is a little cruel?
I will be hiding behind the curtain to see the reaction. (the window will probably get steamed up due to all my sniggering as I wait)

Morrisons had two huge crates of pumpkins today, 50p each!

They were small/medium in size, I'm going to wait a little longer this year as last year they went all squidgy at the bottom.

I LOVE Halloween! I decorate, I usually keep it to our dining room and lounge, I don't go all out but its still fun :). We'll have a Halloween themed supper, play some games (bobbing for apples, hunting for chocolate pumpkins, that kind of thing) and then DH will take the older LO's trick or treating to a couple of neighbours houses (I can't do it, it makes me feel super nervous!). We go to a family fun place where they do a big trick or treating, spooky walk thing and pumpkin carving; we'll go there in the run up to Halloween and do some Halloween/autumn crafts too :).

I love it too! We went to the pumpkin patch over the weekend.. The kids really enjoyed picking out there pumpkins.. We don't normally decorate because we don't get people to our house as it is so far out of the way.. And my kids are dressing up as A soldier (oldest) and A spider (Youngest) they are pretty excited!
