I'm always stuck on ideas for what to get my dad and his gf, and my OHs parents so thinking of doing a hamper full of goodies? Only prob is I dunno what I'd put in them  Probably nice foods like special jams, chutneys, mustards, a bottle of something, nice biscuits, maybe some homemade stuff... I need more ideas! Probably gonna spend £50ish on each hamper so it'll be £25 PP.

I'm gonna do a beauty one for my mum maybe put a spa treatment gift cert in it, some perfume, nice smellies, hers will prob be more £75 or so cos she does a lot for me and takes me loads of places for shopping when stefan is at work in the car :)

Anyone do hampers?

i did them for my mum, sisters, mil and sil's the other year. i put choccies and different smellies, hair stuff etc in them, they were well received. i got some wicker baskets from ikea and just filled them.

We did a small hamper for some family members last year, and everyone loved it.

Maybe for the calendar you can get a personalised one made with photos of Amelie? Perhaps do a little photo shoot with clothes to suit the month, ie christmas, halloween, easter bunny suit or hamper with eggs etc.

Also, the wine glasses you might be able to engrave yourself to personalise them a little?

Other things we had in our hamper:
Home made meringues
Home made Christmas chocolate lolly pops (you can get moulds & sticks on ebay)
Little bag of home made Christmas chocolates (santa, mistletoe, little presents shaped etc)
Small jar of cranberry sauce to go with the Turkey for dinner

I was gonna do personalised calenders but decided against it as she's still quite young and will change between 1-2 years so much so they'll have December 2010 when she's still looking like a baby IYKWIM? Gonna leave it til next year me thinks!

Good idea on the wine glasses though :) Was thinking about seeing if I can go to one of those places that you can decorate your own mug too.

My cousin did me a hamper when Josh was born, better than recieving clothes cos it had stuff in it for me!

I love getting lots of little bits and bobs :D especially when theres nothing in particular you want.

I was thinking about this for my nanna. She's diabetic so gonna fill it with diabetic chocolates. I think thorntons do them and homemade diabetic biscuits. Don't suppose anyone has a recipe?

im looking into doing hampers this year and found this website if its of use to anyone else:

Ohhh. Someone gave my roomate something like this for her 19th birthday. She gave her two wine glasses filled with wrapped chocolates, a bottle of wine and an additional gift card to the liquor store! It was nice :)

I did a movie one for my inlaws once. Threw in a couple dvds or you could do a gift card to rent some. Snacks, drinks, blanket to curl up in?
