Handheld computer console

Would a handheld console for a 3-4 year old boy be a suitable present? Can anyone recommend which would be best?

I've brought LO the vtech mobigo xx

some sort of tablet or a nintendo ds. I tend to think of the ds as more 'little kid' than other hand held consoles.

I'd also say ds, the 2ds is quite robust and had the advantage of being able to play the 3ds games but not being 3d which is rubbish for kids eyes

I have bought the 2ds for my little girls Xmas she will be 3 years 8months. It was £79 when I got it off Amazon xx
