happy to announce... pregnant!

My husband and I have been through a lot in the last 2-ish years. After two miscarriages, the doctors told me I would not be able to carry a child b/c of a heart defect I was born with. We turned to surrogacy and the first cycle did not take. This past cycle was challenging, but now, the 2nd time around, our surrogate is pregnant & doing very well!! The 5-day transfer, of 2 perfect embryos, was on June 4th & she saw her first BFP on June 8th. The lines continued to get darker through the weekend & her first beta tests produced better than expected results. Her second betas, on Thursday, more than doubled!!

Please pray that this pregnancy is a success! I am happy to be back on the forum! Of course, we have not shared this news with anyone outside of the immediate family but I was so excited I had to share it with y'all!!

PS: the heartbeat ultrasound is scheduled for July 9th!!

Since my last post her beta levels have been doubling strangely. Unfortunately, the clinic think that one of the embryos has stopped growing. However, the one that is growing seems to be healthy & strong. Our surrogate got her first case of morning-sickness this morning. She said she's been nauseous all day & it's a good sign!!

We have our first ultrasound July 9th!!
