Hard time finding what to eat

Is anyone stressing what they should and shouldn't eat? There are so many things I go to have then think has it got raw egg in or an unpasturised milk!
I'm in the middle of cooking a lasagne using dolmio tomato and the creamy sauce and pasta sheets and now wondering should I eat that? Or will it have something in it I should eat? Sorry of sounds daft but I can't work it out!
 
It'll say on the side of the jar but I'd assume dolmio to be safe, most made up things in jars are.
 
I know what you mean! NHS website helps... Main things are pate etc because of vitiman A, shellfish (says you can actually eat if cooked), sordfish, limited tuna (think 4 cans per week), caffeine limited to 200g, unpasturised milk and cheese. They're the main things from memory
 
I'm the same! I love eating sushi or any sorts.. Ir really like sea urchin.. but because it's from a shell, I don't think it's a good ideas. so instead I eat california roll because everything is cooked or sweet potato maki, which is nice. :-) Mmmm I wonder myself about eating peanut butter, because I like that stuff.

I know you can't eat blue cheese or goat cheese and making sure you can't eat steak unless it's well done.. and it taste like nothing to me. to dry hehe

Well I think you're cooking the lasagna in the oven so I think you should be ok.

I don't think it's silly, it shows you care and want to have a really healthy baby :-)
 
Thanks everyone, yes I will make sure it is well cooked! On the instructions it does mention milk protein and milk but of course not if it's pasteurised! I think everything should come with the symbol like on alcohol saying not suitable if pregnant!
 
I am having a hard time, too... but it's because of acid reflux! WOWEE! I hiccup & burp pretty much constantly. I only eat plain food. :-)

I have an acidy tummy too. Sucks cos all I feel like eating is fruit, which then sends my tummy into an acidy ball of pain! Crackers would make me gag.

As far as knowing what to eat, I eat anything I like during pregnancy. I'm just more wary of how long things have been sitting out, and re-heat things really hot. I have never had food poisoning, and am going to eat what I normally eat, including sushi!
