Has anyone been kind to you?

The wife of a chap who my OH has subbed work out to for around 18 yrs made us a lovely cot duvet/patchwork quilt. I think I've met her twice over the past 2 yrs. I thought it was a lovely gesture to actually make us a gift. She also bought us a yellow fleecey blanket.

My neighbour said her mum would like to make us some bootees which I thought was wonderful...until she wanted paying for them lol. Surely you dont offer someone something then ask to be paid?? If I wanted to commision someone then I'd ask surely?

What? That's just weird :dohh:

Actually, the other day the woman in the super market insisted on packing my bags for me- not neccasery but sweet none the less... and an old lady made all the other old ladies waiting for the bus let me get on first.

my story happened after i had my baby but i still think it had to do with him!

one day me and my OH went to get our tires rotated (changed around) and they ended up telling us we needed 4 new tires which would have been around 400 dollars. we told the guy that we had a baby in the hospital and we had to go see him and we'd be back. but really we just couldn't afford the money. when we asked for the keys back to our car the guy said some lady paid for us to get 4 new tires. we have NO clue who she was and we couldn't even thank her for it because she was nowhere around. but i have never felt so blessed in my life. i really think she felt bad for us cause Trystin was in the hospital.

:O that's amazing!!

it really was amazing!! a true gift. and she wanted to do it anonymously so we couldn't even thank her. but we told the workers to tell her thank you for us!

after going into premature labour i had to go off work early, at 27 weeks. there's about 100 employees at my work, and they all put money together and bought me a baby bath, stroller, car seat, baby bouncer, and then a bunch of little odds and ends (soothers, spoons, clothing, diapers etc )
they showed up to my apartment when i got out of the hospital with all these things for me. it was lovely :)

what a wonderful story :)

My neighbour offered to carry my washing in when I was struggling with basket! first person! woohoo!

I work in a call centre and most of my team are males (the only other female is already on maternity). I find they do the nicest things, fill my bottle of water up for me all day, bring in choccies and sweets for me and always make sure im comfortable.

My OH doesnt even do that haha! Im gonna have to bring them home with me lol

My OH and family have been extremely kind to me. I have a niece of 6 months my bro and SIL have given us everything when they found out we were having a girl. My bro's words were 'don't buy anything, until you've found out if we've got it first because if we've got it you can have it' My mum and step dad have brought loads too. And my OH just spoils me rotten I can't fault him for anything!

However kindness from strangers def hasn't happened for me, when we go shopping etc. the amount of people who walk straight into me is crazy! They just don't care.

aww some of these are lovely :) wow about the tyres story, thats just amazing that someone would do that. bless her.

i havent really had anyone being nice to me :( only my family. my mum has been amazing but i dont live near her. work are being cautious when it comes to things like me walking on slippery paths in the mornings and that but thats only coz they dont wanna get sued if i have an accident x

Everyone who has near catapulted themselves on the tube to offer me a seat.
The young guy on the Circle Line who offered to go down the aisle and make someone stand up for me. Nice thought but I honestly was getting off at the next stop....

1) my fella sits behind me for hours to help support my back when its hurting
2) my auntie though she hasnt a lot of money, has given me alot of baby bouncers and toys which she could have sold, but gave me for free
