So far, all I have done is the ring test and the baking soda test, I did take a look at the chinese gender chart but as it was wrong for me the last 2 times I didn't think much of it lol (but it said girl)
So I am hoping for a girl, I won't know until November what I am having but just for fun, I'm doing a couple of the old wives tales!
First I tried the ring test - which I'm sure we all have heard of - The ring swung back and forth rather than in a circle, which indicates a girl! (Now I have seen the opposite, some sites say that back and forth is a boy while circle is a girl, but I have seen more sites saying the way I used sooo thats what I am going with![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
The baking soda test - With this test, you put baking soda into a cup (I used a disposable cup) just enough to cover the bottom of the cup, about 1-2 table spoons should do. Then proceed to pee in the cup. Supposedly if it fizzes and gets a foam like beer, its a boy, if there is no reaction, its a girl.
I went into this test differently though, because I also did this with my last pregnancy, it DID fizz, so that would have indicated a boy, but I have a beautiful little girl. This time, the mixture again fizzed, so I'm hoping its another girl![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Obviously I am not putting too much faith into these tests, and I will probably do more as my pregnancy progresses, as I still have 9 weeks to go until I find out what I am having.. but its fun to do in the mean time!
As far as the skull theory goes, I did compare my children's 12 week ultrasound pictures and it was right in both cases, my son had a more "flat" face/forehead while my daughter had a rounded forehead that stuck out. I'm hoping I will get another 12 week scan this time around so I can compare!
I won't be doing the intelligender test though.. from what I understand, most people get a "boy" result, where as very few get a girl result (at least from all the reviews I read and videos I saw on youtube..) and of course half of them go on to have a girl lol so I don't think I will spend money on something that does not provide accurate results.. I would TOTALLY pay for a blood gender test if I could afford it.. I know theres a few different tests out there that the dr's can do like panerama or MaterniT21, I doubt I will be offered either of these tests but if I am, I might take up the offer lol.
