Has anyone done the baking soda test (or any other gender prediction tests)?

So far, all I have done is the ring test and the baking soda test, I did take a look at the chinese gender chart but as it was wrong for me the last 2 times I didn't think much of it lol (but it said girl)

So I am hoping for a girl, I won't know until November what I am having but just for fun, I'm doing a couple of the old wives tales!

First I tried the ring test - which I'm sure we all have heard of - The ring swung back and forth rather than in a circle, which indicates a girl! (Now I have seen the opposite, some sites say that back and forth is a boy while circle is a girl, but I have seen more sites saying the way I used sooo thats what I am going with :)

The baking soda test - With this test, you put baking soda into a cup (I used a disposable cup) just enough to cover the bottom of the cup, about 1-2 table spoons should do. Then proceed to pee in the cup. Supposedly if it fizzes and gets a foam like beer, its a boy, if there is no reaction, its a girl.

I went into this test differently though, because I also did this with my last pregnancy, it DID fizz, so that would have indicated a boy, but I have a beautiful little girl. This time, the mixture again fizzed, so I'm hoping its another girl :)

Obviously I am not putting too much faith into these tests, and I will probably do more as my pregnancy progresses, as I still have 9 weeks to go until I find out what I am having.. but its fun to do in the mean time!

As far as the skull theory goes, I did compare my children's 12 week ultrasound pictures and it was right in both cases, my son had a more "flat" face/forehead while my daughter had a rounded forehead that stuck out. I'm hoping I will get another 12 week scan this time around so I can compare!

I won't be doing the intelligender test though.. from what I understand, most people get a "boy" result, where as very few get a girl result (at least from all the reviews I read and videos I saw on youtube..) and of course half of them go on to have a girl lol so I don't think I will spend money on something that does not provide accurate results.. I would TOTALLY pay for a blood gender test if I could afford it.. I know theres a few different tests out there that the dr's can do like panerama or MaterniT21, I doubt I will be offered either of these tests but if I am, I might take up the offer lol.

I haven't done any gender tests this time. Although you have me kind of curious about doing the baking soda one.
With my son, I took the intelligender test and it predicated girl. The Chinese gender chart also said girl. The skull theory was inconclusive for him because it looked flat in some pictures and rounded in others.
I am predicted a girl again by the Chinese gender chart. Hey, it has a 50/50 chance of being accurate! lol I would LOVE to have a little girl this time, but I am not going to get my hopes up. And I'd love another little boy just as much.

Oh I'd also like to add that I gained weight everywhere with my son. I craved chocolate and peanut butter and lots of milk. This time I am craving A LOT of spicy foods (mostly Mexican). I really am not wanting meat at all. And I'm also craving a lot of other healthy foods like fresh fruit. And so far, I'm only gaining weight in the front.

Wow! I'm surprised to see you got a girl result as very few seem to get a girl result lol I guess it didn't matter if it was still wrong lol I was devastated to see that I've already gained a lb LOL not that I should be worried over one lb but still.. hoping to gain minimum weight this time around. Not sure how thats going to work though considering how all I want is junk food! lol garlic parmesan breadsticks from papa johns and some arbys (both were cravings I had in my previous pregnancies as well) I could also go for brownies, frenchfries with buffalo sauce (I love those! REALLY yummy!!) and some candy.. and ice cream... and chips.. LOL and maybe some french toast from cracker barrel..

Its a mix for me

Well, haven't done the baking soda test, but now I want to eat ALL of the things you just mentioned!
Guess I'm craving junk food lol!

I did the needle test which is the same as the ring test but with a needle and it predicted boy.

Chinese gender chart predicted a girl.

Went for my 12 week scan and the doctor doing the ultrasound asked if we would like him to make a gender prediction, he said boy then showed us this tiny little thing that I couldn't make out and said that he thought that was "boy parts"... he did say it's very early to tell though and nowhere near a sure thing

Scull theory, heartrate and Baking soda was right for me this time. lol But don't count on it!!
