really overloaded on baby stuff?
I am not joking when I say that I have spent soooo much money!
I knew that obviously having a baby would be expensive, and I don't grudge spending money on my son in the slightest - especially as it's not the money aspect that has shocked me, but the vast amount of stuff I have for him now!
I was originally going to have a baby shower, as my friends wanted to throw one for me, but then they all turned nasty and ignorant, etc. so now I'm not having one as I no longer feel the need to keep them in my life IYKWIM.
Soo...
Due to the lack of baby shower, me, OH and both of our parents have been the ones buying everything, and whilst having a look through everything I have at the moment (as no doubt I'll end up buying more within the next few weeks
) I can officially say...
OMG.
I have (and I'm being 100% truthful here), at least £600 worth of clothes.
- Bearing in mind that it's not all newborn and 0-3 months, I do have clothing in a range of sizes, all the way up to 12 months, and one t-shirt in 12-18 months.
Originally I thought I was being smart, buying very few newborn items as he probably won't get the wear out of them, but the huge amount of clothing in every other size probably won't get the wear either! (Unless I change him 4-5 times a day, which I think I will
).
Any time I go out, I just have to buy him something.
And if I buy something for me, I then buy him a little extra thing.
And of course, I have all the other bits and bobs and big things, such as:
- Cotbed.
- Tatty Teddy bed in a bag set, curtains and wall art (bloody cost me £155, but they were too cute to resist
).
- Please Look After Me bedding from mothercare (bought this before I decided I wanted a Tatty Teddy themed nursery
).
- Crib.
- Vibrating Bouncer.
- Swing/seat.
- Chest of drawers (with 5 drawers).
- Chest of drawers (with 7 drawers).
- Wardrobe.
- Lots of toys and stuff.
- Dummies, bibs, burp cloths, muslin cloths, etc.
- And all the other stuff...
Is anyone else as bad as this? I pray that someone out there is, because I feel like I'm losing control of my spending
xx
