Has anyone had a post coital test?

My RE mentioned doing a post coital test next month if I'm not pregnant this month on femara. Has anyone had one of these? If so, how are they done and what will information will it give? Thanks in advance for any answers

Yes. I've done it.

Basically you and within one hour go to your clinic where they do a swab of your cervix and scoop your CM and OHs sperm.

So very similar to a pap.

They then look at how the sperm and CM are doing...if they are playing well together. Lol

This can show if the CM is hostile to the sperm...so the sperm isn't swimming around etc.

Thanks. When you had yours done, did you get beneficial information? Can they tell how good the sperm is also or is a SA still needed?

SA is still needed.

It's beneficial in that your will know if your cm is hostile to his sperm. If it is then no sperm would survive into your cervix
