Has anyone had bfp with a blue dye test?

I've had 7 faint positives using Drug Mart One Step (blue dye) pregnancy tests over the past week. But I've also done a few Dollar Tree (pink dye) tests and they came out negative. So I am confused.

I've been reading online a lot about this the past few days and read that many people don't trust the blue dye tests (like the Drug Mart one).

Did anyone find out they were pregnant with a Drug Mart One Step (or other) blue dye test?

I don't know whether to believe the faint positive results since it was a blue dye test and since the Dollar Tree (pink dye) one was negative.

I took a Clear Blue Easy that was a blue dye test and got a faint positive. Like you though I was skeptical of the blue dye test after reading so much about it so I got a FRER and it was + too.

When I was pregnant with my son I got a very faint positive on a clear blue and a negative on the dollar store test using the same urine. It took a few days to even get a hint of a line on the dollar ones. Good luck!!

i have gotten MANY false positives on blue dye. especially the equate (wal mart brand) and the equate pink dye plus minus as well!! good luck, try a frer and fingers x for you!!

what is a frer? what are you referring to? i've figured out it must stand for first response but is there anything else to it?

My first 3 tests I took were Equate blue dye tests and they all showed lines...and were right!

First Response Early Result is the test they are talking about It's just first response really, you can get them that will tell you up to 5 days before your period is due, which is awesome! They are real sensitive and can be bad to use at the same time as you can pick up chemicals easier with them But... I would get one and see what it says for you! I used dollar store tests and found out the day before period was due, then two blue dye from shoppers drug mart and those were ++++ as well! FRER confirmed the next day Hope it's a BFP for you!!

I went and bought the First Response test last night. Did it w/FMU this am and it was negative.

I can't believe I had NINE false positives! (with blue dye...Drug Mart and Dollar General ones).

This is extra disappointing for me (in a way) because I wasn't "trying" to conceive. I am 40 years old and have an 11 month old baby girl and 8 yr. old son. (and I lost a baby boy five years ago.)

But there won't be any more "trying" for me because of my age (etc, etc...last pregnancy was hard, finances, etc). Such is life.
