Hi i'am Jane my husband is Rob we have 9 children.
4 are from a previous relationship then rob and I have 5 children together.
Rob had the vasectomy done when our younger was 10 days old.
That will be 4 years this year.
I'am 37 Rob is 51 can the gp refuse to refer rob because we already have 9 children between us?
Also when you go private does it take long to be referred?
Thankyou

I can't imagine they can discriminate against you being referred based on the number of children you already have. That doesn't seem like a call they are allowed to make based on their own biases. Good luck!

If you're in the uk you can't get it reversed on the nhs. Not because of how many children you already have though. I know someone that doesn't have any that wants it reversed and is saving to have it done privately. It's a rather long and sad story so won't go in to that. Obviously as I'm sure you're aware the nhs have a tight budget and have to prioritise procedures that are medically necessary. I think he said it costs about £2000 to have it done privately. But I doubt you'd be waiting long. Good luck!
