have you ever seen such a dark opk? Question?

Ok, so this is my third day of positive opk's in a row and they just seem to be getting darker and darker!!! I am worried something isn't right. On thursday, friday, and saturday I had ewcm. I got my first positive on Friday. My temps were as follows since friday. Fri= 97.16 Sat= 96.84 Sun= 97.38 It seems that I would have ovulated, but why is my opk getting darker? Has anyone else had a similar experience and still ovulated? Oh, I might add that I took soy this cycle also, could that have anything to do with it? It is my first cycle with soy, as I haven't been ovulating at all the last 4 months.

This post is SO ODD! Wow. I just made a post in the SMEP thread about this no joke! For the past two days I've had positive OPKs. I always get a positive OPK on CD 14 and this month, at CD 16 (after 2 days of OPKs that looked positive) mine looks JUST like this!!!! I had a HUGE temp spike this morning so I was sure my egg released but after this OPK, which indicates the surge BEFORE the egg is released, I guess it didn't by this morning.. which completely messed up our BD'ing as I was planning to O on CD 14/15. CRY!!!! But yes, mine looks identical to that. I have the picture in my phone right now and I used the exact same test strip. CRAZY!!!

edit: Apparently I deleted the picture out of my phone, I was going to upload it for you. But it looks exactly the same. I guess I O'd late this month. Sigh.

I never get a dark line on those things. The line never looks as dark as the testing line.
I have read that soy sometimes messes up your cycle. I've never tried it so I don't know.

I'm gonna just say you are either 1) At the peak of your surge and the egg is popping out at any minute or 2) your egg already popped out and you timed it just right to catch the very end peak of your LH surge (which a few ladies suggested might have happened to me since I got a HUGE temp spike this morning which normally means the egg popped out)

Hopefully it is the peak and tomorrow it will start going negative. I test about 5 times a day, so I definately would catch the surge!!! I guess last time I used opk's I got a positive and then never tested again, so maybe the same thing would have happened. That's what I get for being a poas addict!!! Maybe we will both get our bfp's on the same day!!! I will be watching for you to test!!!

Why do you feel cheated? I was reading about how to gender sway a girl, and a lot of things I read said to bd 3-4 days before ovulation and then have no more unprotected sex. The girl swimmers live longer and they are patiently waiting for the egg. It's a good chance you will concieve a baby girl!!! It's kind of good that you feel out though, because it usually happens when you least expect it!!!!

Ugh, I hope you are right. I feel cheated because last month we said we wouldn't start the BDing too early so we could save up some swimmers so I thought we were doing good since I O'd on CD 14 but since I'm apparently late this month.... (lazy egg).... by the time it really counts DH can barely perform! He can't do more than 2-3 days in a row without holding up the white flag of defeat. Sniffle.

When was the last day you bd'd? If you had a huge temp drop, I would bet you ovulated.

Notice the huge temp spike!? So weird.... we just got our last BD in about an hour ago! I'm calling tomorrow 1 DPO, AF is about 12 days away!

I really think you ovulated yesterday by your chart. That is exactly what happened to me. I guess we shall see in a couple days if fertility friend tells us we o'ed that day. I think you are completely covered in the sperm department. On your chart you had negative opk's except for today??? Didn't you get a positive for the last 3 days? Hopefully our temps are still up tomorrow. My cm is now creamy and sticky, so that is a good sign. I think we are definately on the right track. I looked at some other charts that resulted in pregnancy and I saw quite a few that had 3 or 4 days worth of positive opk's in a row, so that make me feel a lot better.

We already have 3, so I had to do some sweet talking to squeeze one more baby into this family. He was completely content with 2. He knew he married a mormon, so I don't know why he is shocked. I personally wanted 6. Do you really think that you have more lh if you pop out 2 eggs instead of 1. I did use soy this cycle, so maybe I had more than 1 mature egg. Oops!! Lmao, well it's possible! I'm assuming if you release more than one egg you'd have more LH in your body. That's something worth looking up!! And I'm always looking things up on the internet haha. I'm just like you. I don't think I'm going to stop having kids. As long as we can afford it then why not? All my kids will get the same amount of love and attention and I always wanted a big family.

I have never seen an OPK as dark as yours!! not even on the internet! lol

Twins!? No please! My OPK was just as dark as yours, maybe even darker! The line seriously showed up before anything else on the OPK!!!! I have also been feeling O pains on either side this month! Please... no twins!! We already have one, I am not sure I can do 3 right now! Babers - I posted the other 2 days before my positive as being negative because when I looked at the pictures again, the lines weren't quite matching the stupid control line, although they were very close, they just did not seem the same. So, I couldn't say for SURE they were positive. The one on CD 14 was definitely negative, although close, the one on CD 15 was a little darker so it's possible it was positive. I just marked it as negative on my chart since I KNEW, without a doubt, the one on CD 16 was beyond positive. OMG 2 eggs... noooooo... LOL

Oh and my temps stayed up this morning. I tested early because I randomly woke up 2 hours before I usually do and it was 97.45 but I fell back asleep and 2 hours later it was 97.90! Although I just went with the first temp for charting purposes.

My temp was 97.42 this morning. I think we are preggers!!!! Definately not wanting twins. I have 3 already. I just hate the tww!!! It is excrutiating. Especially being a stay at home mom and my hubby is only home on the weekends. I can barely stand it. Has fertility friend pinpointed your o day yet. It hasn't mine. I am pretty sure I o'ed on Saturday though.

By looking at your chart I would guess you o'ed on Saturday too. I could be wrong, but that would be my guess. I think we just had lots of lh still in our system. It says to test on opk's and once you get a positive to quit testing. I wish I would have listened because then I would just have thought I had a positive on Friday and I would have been done obsessing over it.
