hey all,

i had my c section coming up for 4 weeks ago and im desperate to have a bath to just sit and relax in! its driving me nuts!! please help lol :haha:

i had a bath in hospital the next day as they told me to and was fine, strange to wait 6 weeks. ive had 2 sections and bathed the next day with both!

Thats weird I have had 4 c sections and am due to have my 5th in augs, ive never been told not to bath I have always had showers in the hospital and as soon as im home I bath every day as we dont have a shower I always buy really good kitchen towel and make sure I dry really well after xx xxxx

I was told not to have a bath after my first section but advised to have a bath every day after my second one!

With my second my wound got infected so I think it was due to this as well! Go on do it! 4 weeks on you should be fine.. just maybe don't put any bubbles in.. the soak in the hot water will feeeel amazing though! :O)

This has coe up before with people having been told different things. I had a bath the next day after both mine,on the ward. No way could I have waited 6 weeks!! One day was long enough

Ive had a shower, and i had my c-section nearly 9 days ago now..In fact my mw encouraged me to get a shower. I was terrified of it stinging my scar but since my stitches have dissolved and my wound is closed ive been given the all clear :)

And i had a shower in the hospital the day after i had my section..But they gave me some gross shower gel stuff to use and its smelt vile..Kills germs..And nose hair if you smelt it :haha:

I was told not to submerge my incision in bath water until the incision was healed. You should be ok at 4 weeks, just try and look at it and see what it looks like. Thats what I did.
