Having our 2nd little boy - what to do about presents etc.

Hiya, just wondered what everyone else would do - We have DS who is 2 years old, and I also Childmind so have tons of toys and not a lot of room. We are also expecting our 2nd little boy, but Ims tuck on what to do for Chistmas's and Birthdays when they are the same gender as DS2 will have a lot of DS1's old stuff - of course I will still buy him a few new clothes and toys of his own etc. as dont want him to feel left out, but our house is already packed with most of the stuff from the toy shops lol.

Im sure as DS2 gets older he will ask for certain things, but not quite sure what to do this year, he will be a couple of months maximum but still want to get him presents, but what do you get a baby who has all the things he already needs lol!

And what on earth are we going to do as they get older, there's only so many different versions of cars and trains they can own!

i can sympathise with you i have 3 sons and it gets harder for the youngest.

luckily for me my eldest liked trains and the middle liked cars. but we have a box of animals, cars, trains etc. however there is 4yrs between middle and youngest so i had got rid of all baby toddler toys which does make things bit easier.

i would try and get them into different types of toys if you can.

Id love 4 children - imagine that if they were all boys! I suppose as they get older the stuff will change into clothes, smellies, magazine subscriptions and maybe vouchers for cinema etc. but until they are at that age I guess I need to find different types of stuff, good job I like online shopping!
I guess it will also be easier when they like certain characters etc. I think it will just be the first 2 Christmas's which will be tricky, but DS2 will be young and probably wont even remember!
