Is it really okay for my HCG doubling time to be between 48-72 hours? I hear those numbers, but it also seems like people think of 48 or less as ideal. I am concerned because my beta June 20 at 8am was 147, and today at 12pm it was only 1,342. That's a doubling time of 54 hours, which is so much higher than 48 hours.

What do you think? Should I be concerned?

I am 4 weeks, 6 days today. I just had my first ultrasound and saw one little, beautiful gestational sac! This is further than I have ever made it before - I have had at least 1 chemical pregnancy before, possibly more. Even with a chemical being early, it was hard to deal with, and I am having trouble feeling anything other than worry and fear. Every time I feel happiness, I start telling myself not to be happy yet... Ugh.

I am no expert but from everything I have read it says it should double every 48-72 hours so i am assuming that anything within that range is fine. Mine are currently doubling every 69 hours and my doctors don't seem to be too concerned at all. If I was you I would be happy with your levels doubling every 54 hours. Check out the link below it might be helpful for a bit more information on hcg levels. Good luck with your pregnancy
