hcg doubling time slowing down

My first beta was at 10dpo: 9, my second at 13dpo 106. The doubling time was approx 20 hours. Today at 17dpo I had a third blood draw and the numbers were only 420 what makes the doubling time 45 hour. Is it normal to slow down so quickly?

Doubling time can be up to 72 hours and yes it slows down. Eventually it'll be like 5 days to double when you're far enough along.

Thanks for the reply. I'm just worried because the doubling time is decreasing so fast! With my son, I had betas around the same dpo and doubling times went from 20 to 29 hours at 16dpo. Also my beta was 945 at 16dpo.

This is this currents pregnancy and I am 13 1/2 weeks pregnant.

They do start to slow down since there is more HCG to make in order to double. Your numbers are fine.

My pregnancytest was a tad lighter this morning. Rapidly increasing doubling times plus bfp slightly lighter, I'm losing all hope. I can't believe this is happening again

I think u are better to compare HPTs every 2 days to really see if the lines are getting stronger.

I went in for another beta yesterdat at 19 dpo and it went from 440 to 821 in 47 hours. That's doubling time 53 hours. It has again slowed down but the doctor said that my numbers are very good. She did not understand why I am worrying so much. I guess maybe I'm a bit paranoid? 53 hours at 17-19dpo is maybe normal?

I've given up on testing with dipsticks, they juste make me crazy

I think you are stressing out and over analysing things. If your betas are doubling every 2 days, thats a good sign. Time to try and sit back and enjoy being pregnant!

I went in for a last beta yesterday and it was 5167, doubling times back up to 45 hours. Next pregnancy I won't bother with testing so much, it just makes me worry!
