Hcg levels

Ok ladies, I got my BFP last Wednesday at 4 weeks (from LMP). I got my first hcg level drawn on Thursday and it came back 28. The doctor did not seem concerned and just said I was very early pregnant but I was hoping for a higher number. I wasn't able to go back 2 days after that because I was out of town so they had me get my blood drawn 4 days later ( which was yesterday). The nurse just called me and my level from yesterday was 88. So I'd didn't double every 2 days. Maybe mine is taking closer to three days to double?? What do you ladies think about these numbers? Again, the doctor doesn't seem concerned but I asked for another draw for tomorrow. I'm just scared because I had a chemical and another miscarriage at 5 weeks 1 day earlier this year. Hoping for the best but wondering what y'all thought about these levels. Thanks in advance

I'm surprised your doctor doesn't seem concerned. My level at 4w1d was 77, and the doctor thought that was too low so sent me for another one two days later, which was 207, so doubling nicely. I do think my doctor thinks I'm farther along than I think, but I'll find out on Thursday at my first OB appointment.

According to this calculator, https://www.babymed.com/tools/hcg-calculator , if you had exactly 96 hrs between blood draws you're doubling every 58 hrs or so, which still falls in the normal range! I hope your levels are up tomorrow!

Thanks. Yeah she just thinks I'm very early. Maybe implantation was later than normal?

Late implantation is possible! How were you tracking ovulation?

I would not be concerned. Your numbers are increasing just fine. I had low hcg numbers as well but at my 7wk1d scan I was measuring 7w and all was good.

and I was being seen by one of the best RE's in the country so if he's not concerned I wasn't about to be.

Thanks! Mine were at 15dpo and 17 dpo. It is hard having "low" levels since it seems like everyone posts such high ones all the time! Haven't had any ultrasounds or anything so obviously I don't have confirmation that everything is fine, but besides being told I had low hcg at 15dpo I've not had anything to indicate that anything is wrong either!

Don't worry about it! There's no reason to assume anything is wrong unless you're bleeding or having really bad cramps. Someone on this board tried to get me worried when I initially posted my hcg level and said she was surprised my Dr said that was good.... what the heck does she know???

I've had some super light (light brown) spotting here and there, but really it doesn't have me worried. No cramps, no red blood. I'll mention it to the doctor on Thursday (my first appointment), and go from there =).

Late implantation is possible! How were you tracking ovulation?

I wasn't tracking ovulation this cycle. Funny thing is, this is the first month in a while I haven't obsessed over getting pregnant, and of course I did

Well if you weren't tracking, not only is late implantation possible, but so is late ovulation, so I wouldn't be worried about your numbers at all at this point!

My doubled every 3 days not sure what they are now but I've had 2 scans and I'm 9+2 days now all ok so far.

hun my obgyn said they go up by 66% every 48 hours and double every 3 days... that's the normal....

if they double every 48 like mine did its just the same....

wouldn't be worried coz the scale she showed me is massive and as long as they doubled every 3 days u should be ok

Just an update...I had my third HCG level drawn on Wednesday and it came back 114. It was 88 on Monday, so it's going up but still definitely not doubling. I'm sure the doctor is concerned now but the nurse wouldn't say that. She just said..."well, it didn't double, let's recheck it again." I go tonight for another draw. I'm still hopeful because I've heard many stories of having slow rising hcg levels going on to be viable pregnancies. Maybe it will suddenly go up this draw? I hope so!!

My level at 12dpo was 27. Dr wasn't concerned but my prog was only 3.5! I don't even know how that's even possible

Correction I got my second results and hcg 110 and progesterone 18! 15dpo
