I got my BFP last week Wednesday (11dpo), faint but there!, Went to my doc on Thursday(12dpo) and he did a hCG blood test. My doctor just got the results back today and he rang me because he is worried they are very low, I have to go back tomorrow to do another test. It will take another week to get the results! I'm really scared now, close to tears...

My results came back at 12dpo (cd 27) as 35.7

It's a little low, but not that low. If you implanted later it could explain it. Average for 14 dpo is 100, and hcg doubles every 48 hours or so. Have your hcg checked in 2 days and see what happens:hugs: Docs can be pretty useless sometimes:dohh:

Sorry Hun, hang in there. I'm in the same boat my hcg levels at 9 DPO are 14.8. Doc is not hopeful, I go back tomorrow to do another test. Hope you're okay.

From what I've read nothing at all can be said on the basis of one hcg test alone, its all about the doubling really in a relative context

I didn't see the results and I am trying to understand what he said, it was gestational 1-2 weeks was 25 and weeks 3-4 should be 111, So according to that lab I should've been around 110??

So hang on according to that lab I should have a hCG before O of 25? Now I am really confused??? Unless it means 1-2 weeks after O???? Cant ring doc back they close early today!!!!

It will be 7 days between tests so there should be a good rise, fingers crossed, but I won't get my results for 6/7 days!

How long to get your tests back? Please let me know how you get on!

My HCG was 2 at 7dpo (2dp5dt as IVF) so if you double that every 48 hours it would've been 8 at 11dpo and I got a positive pregnant test at 12dpo so must've been above 15 that day.

I think that number is fine for how early you are. Could've been late implantation.

A single HCG figure means nothing on its own. The importance is that it should double every 48 hours.

Try not to worry too much and good luck.

I should get my results back tomorrow! Tx Hun I will let you know. I had some slight spotting on Monday and Tuesday but nothing since.

:hugs: :hugs:

Your doc shouldn't scare you like that. It's so early - before your expected period even I would guess. You really can't tell anything from that. The only thing that will tell you something is repeating the test 48 hours later and seeing where you're at. If you do some googling you can find graphs or charts that show the range of hcg levels across dpo's. You'll be surprised how big the range is.

I worried myself sick thinking about my number.. Which was 81. I thought I was close to 5 weeks at that point but they couldn't find anything on the ultrasound. I also have no idea when I ovulated bc of a blighted ovum at the beginning of sept. That being said I get the results from my second test on Monday. I'm hopeful and prepared for the worst. Take the advice that these numbers don't mean crap it's how they increase that really matters. Everyone is different! gl!

I was actually told I wasn't pregnant because mine was 2, which is below 5. I was sure I was though and it was just the very start and embryo had implanted that day 2 days after it had been transferred into me.

Doctors are so rubbish sometimes.

Ugh I remember reading that in your journal! I totally knew in my gut you were pregnant too bc of the OHSS. I'm really hoping my doctors are being tw*ts too right now bc they keep telling me one of my twins is going to vanish. They have no idea how worked up they get us over this stuff!!

Had my bloods done tonight and my hcg is now 42.8. It was 14.5 on Monday. Doctor said its still quite low but it's more than doubled???

I'm in HCG hell right now too! Monday my levels were only 24.5 at 14dpo. I was devastated! The nurse sounded so doom and gloom on the phone. I retested today at 16dpo and my level is up to 62, so it more than doubled in 48 hours, which is a good thing...but my levels are still so low. The nurse told me they like to see at least 100 at 16dpo, but my rise was significant, so that's a good sign. I'm going in for more labs at 18dpo, even though she said I didn't need to, and could just come in for an early ultrasound at 6 weeks. I need to know what's going on though, so I opted for the labs. The nurse seemed much more positive today.

It's excruciating! Such a roller coaster, this waiting game, far worse than the 2WW!

12DPO is very early. Anything over 5 in the early days is good. As long as its doubling every 48 hrs that's all that matters.

Helena... Do you remember what your levels were at 14dpo and beyond?
