HCG trigger shot - when to test?

Hi all,

I had the hcg trigger shot (ovitrelle 250mg) on Monday 8th Sept, and had a temp rise the following day.

My question is how long does the hcg stay in your system? Today I am 7dpo (8 days post trigger shot) and got a faint positive on an 10miu cheapie. I know 7dpo is too early for a genuine positive (even if I were pregnant), but don't want to test too soon for the "real result".

Not sure if bmi affects how long it stays in your system (someone else suggested it might) but if it helps, I'm "normal".

Any responses appreciated. I've had 3 chemicals in a row so keen not to test too early.and watch the gradual hcg decline again.

My doctor always told me to wait 12-14 days after the shot to test. When I got pregnant with my son it was my 2nd month using the shot and I tested 12 days after the shot and it was a genuine positive. (I didn't believe it was at first and kept testing for multiple days after, but it was!)

I'm average bmi and my trigger was always gone really fast, by 7 or 8 days after.
