He hates the feel of slippery fruit!

My LO will happily munch on a whole apple or pear (with skin on) but give him anythink like peeled kiwi or melon or mango and he shudders at the feel of it, he wont even let it pass his lips but give him all these in a mesh feeder and he will munch, i dont get it??? Is anyone else LO like this or is my wee one a strange one!! ha ha ha

Are you giving the fruit cold from the fridge? Ruby shudders when fruit is very cold, so I bring any refridgerated fruit up to room temp before giving it.

ooohh i didnt think of this, the majority is cold from the fridge, but there has been some that is at room temp and he still doesnt like it!!! odd! but thanks for this.

Grady is weird about feelings too!
Still to this day won't eat a banana, unless it's in the little mesh thing!
He's gotten a lot better, but still he launches things off the highchair if they feel funny! lol.
