Heard the heartbeat with Sonoline B

Just tried out my sonoline, found nothing :-( tried for a good 15 mins but didn't want to do it any longer so as not to over expose little bean.

I know it's early days but was really hoping to hear something as I've had no symptoms for days and just worrying.

Are you checking low enough and on the correct side?
I know that I implanted on the left and my baby is always around the left side for me. I have to go really low, sometimes pressing down almost against the bone and angling the wand to face downwards. Start really really low and move really slowly, I mean like barely moving at all.

I started right down by my pubic bone and faced it downwards towards my feet kind of. Tried moving it slowly but couldn't pick up any heartbeat other than my own and only noise was like whooshing air/static.

I want to try again when my bladder is full but is it safe to try again so soon?

I didnt pick it up my first day, I skipped a day and tried again. I've done it twice in a day when I was worried. Youtube videos helped me and I also used a good amount of gel which I think helps cut the static and pick up the sounds more clearly. If you know the side your baby is on it kinda helps and even then its tough. Last night I heard the heartbeat but it was there for a few seconds and then shifted slightly to the left and then it was there for another moment and then I lost it. I tried again for another minute and then said screw it, I listened to it for long enough, baby is fine. I had a tiny amount of spotting after no blood for a week so I was nervous and couldnt sleep.

Also, I don't know what your body is like but I am kinda bloated right now and put on over 10 lbs so I push all my skin/fat etc up so the area is taut when I use the doppler, I find it helps.

Sometimes you only hear a glimpse of it for a second. If you get that, try hanging around that area super slowly, barely moving and see if you can pick it up again. You may also be testing on the wrong side. Do you know if the baby is on the left or right?

My Sonoline B should be here by saturday :happydance: Cant wait!!!!!! Eeeek!!!!

Thanks for the tips! I have no idea what side it's on to be honest. Don't remember getting implantation pain on any particular sign.

Can I ask, has everyone continued had period pain like cramps/aching throughout early pregnancy? I think that's the main worry I have, up until the weekend I had sporadic aching like things were stretching but nothing all week. It just feels like all activity has ceased....

My cramping comes and goes so I think it's normal hun.

I had period like cramping early on, then no cramping for a few weeks and then I started having period like cramping again yesterday which freaked me out lol. I am happier with the no cramping lol.

Haha it is horrible but weird as it sounds it's kind of reassuring too.

I watched some videos on YouTube and tried Doppler again, thought I had found something just as I led down as it read 156 but never found it again so think it may gave been me out of breath from climbing too many stairs! Feeling really disheartened and my gut feeling is little bean has stopped growing :-(

Relax. Don't try when you are out of breath or stressed out. Take it easy, lie down, put the gel on and start really low on one side and stay on that side. Move up a bit if you feel you need to, sometimes my bean is a bit higher up. The first time is the hardest but once you find it you have an idea where to start in the future. If you dont think its on that side, try the other. Do you have any scan images?

Also I find it helpful to have a full bladder but not really really full. I couldn't find hb yesterday, its luck really as to when u do it as bean will move around a lot. Try to be patient or book an early private scan for reassurance. I worry all the time too as my symptoms come and go .. I think its normal. Hugs to you :)

P.s. you are also super early. I didn't hear mine for first time until 9 weeks 6 days and I tried for the few days before then so try not to panic

Thanks guys, my midwife is coming to visit me in half hour for the first time so I will have chance to ask about my worries and maybe she will try with Doppler.

Haven't tried again since lastnight, it just stresses me out! Lol.

My Sonoline B came and I heard the HB <3 Pretty sure that it was the hb as it ranged from 157-165ish :cloud9: and it sounded to me like a galloping horse :)

Hotbump yay!!! They say a horse is a girl and a train is a boy... amazeballs isn't it. I am trying to not get to addicted to mine but its hard..

OH had to take mine away from me :haha: It was soo fast I was like no way can that be the hb but it was because when I moved it away I would hear mine and it would go to 95ish....This is my 3rd baby and it's still amazing to me :cloud9:

I recieved my Sonoline B fetal doppler in the mail a week ago and heard the heartbeat the very first night I got it and every night since!! There has been a few times I couldnt find it but just waited a while and found it the next time I tried. It has been easier to find If my bladder is full (which happens too often)! Babys heartbeat usually runs from 168-172. Had an ultrasound a week ago and it was 171 so its still about the same. I have read that in the next few weeks it will slow a bit for rest of the pregnancy.

At my appointment they said that my baby's hb was around 156ish-160ish range :)

Does anyone worry that using it too much might do harm? I'm trying to limit myself just in case but its hard...
