I've never had it in my life but i think i may be experiencing it now.

What causes it and does anyone else have it? Is it something you can get through pregnancy?

I get it now and again, its to do with all stomache been squashed and creating excess acid which will feel like a burning pain or yuckky acid sicky stuff!!!!
I find it worse at bed time, so i sleep slighty upright, also avoid spicy food late at night, before bed i have a peppermint tea or glass of milk which helps. If i get it during the day i will have a polo or something minty.

You can get stuff from chemist/doctor that is safe to take but i am trying to hold off on that till it gets really bad haha

Good luck xxx

i get like a burning in the back of my throut and yes it is something every woman gets in preg coz of bub pushing up on tummy

Its rubbish :( I've had it since day 1! I even have gavison on prescription :D

If its not too bad hun, rennies or such like work but as it gets worse, Gaviscon (or advance as i'm on) can work wonders!

Feels like burning acid in the back of youre throat down to youre stomach. Eeewww. Not pleasant at all

I don't think i had it. I think it may have just been pregnancy pains.

It doesn't sound nice at all i hope i avoid it.

Eck I never had it before pregnancy either, now I get it all the time. No idea what causes it either, I get it even if I don't eat. Always at night, ALWAYS!! :(

I've started to get heartburn now! :hissy:

It was kind of expected though because I got it with my last pregnancy!

I'm really hoping it doesn't get too much worse as I hated using Gaviscon last time, it tastes icky!!!

I used to get heartburn pregnant or not. I've started getting it again, so much so i feel the only slight relief i would get would be to shove my head down the toilet and get rid...but i know that's not good! But yes, gaviscon helps and you will get it free on prescription.x
