Heart rate and gender ?

I had a scan today to get an exact due date and measurements and I'm 9 weeks exactly. The heart rate was high 169 and I know the wives tales say girls rates are usually higher. Is anyone here expecting a boy but have a high heart rate in the 160's -170's ? I know its just a tale but I'd like to see how accurate this is. Thanks for sharing !

Also any guesses for my baby ? I know 9 weeks is early but the skull shot is pretty clear so I thought I'd give it a shot

I believe the wive's tale is if it's over 140 bpm ... it's a girl

But, my doctor specifically told me that the theory is not true. My best friend has a little boy with a heart rate of 170 around that time. My little nugget is 173 bpm at 11 weeks. So, we will just have to wait, but it is fun to guess!

Well that's a relief ! Lol I hope the wives tale is just that because we are so hoping for a boy but will be happy still with a healthy baby of course! It would be nice to know sooner tho (.:

It held true for both my girls. Did not hold true for one of my friends babies. Girl with hr in 120-140's the whole time! good luck! my girls were 170-180. Hoping my baby this time gives me a low (but not too low) boy number! lol

I hope so too! My first two prove this tale correct but my youngest dd was in the 130s-140s so I don't know

My baby's heart rate was always around 170 in the first and second trimesters. And it was a little boy. So not accurate for us!

My baby's heart beat has consistently been in the 160s and its a boy (for sure, we saw the twig and berries at the 3D ultrasound lol)

it proved true for my first two, heart rate was 165-168 with both, with this one it hasn't as I am having another girl and heart rate is really low this go around...
