heartbeats? boy or girl? please answer!

Hey everyone! Found out today my little ones hb was 148bpm today but won't find out what we are having until the 8th July what were your little ones heartbeats and what did you end up having? They say if it's over 140bpm it's a girl and if it's under its a boy thank you x

What gestation are you? I read that its only "accurate" around 9 weeks, I think.

That being said, my girl was 150 bpm at 8 weeks and has never been lower.

It's fun to try to guess based on HR but there really isn't any truth to it. Nothing scientifically backed, anyway. My OB says fetal heart rates vary from about 125-155 BPM, depending on age and activity etc. So far this baby has varied from 120-165! So unless it's a hermaphrodite, I'm stumped! Sorry I'm not more help.

With dd it was always high despite her being less active than this baby. This baby is always under 150 though usually around the 140 mark and is a boy but I agree no science just fun x

155-175 and it's a boy. Heartrate has no correlation with gender, just gestational age. It will start out higher and get lower in 2nd tri. It will also be faster when baby is active.

We heard the heartbeat at 15+4 and it was 146, found out today we are having a boy x

Both of my first two girls, HR was 130. This time around its 150... Thought it was a boy due to heart rate...but this one is a girl too!

I'm having a boy and the heartbeat has been consistently in the 160s since first scan at 8 weeks.

With my son his heart rate was always between 140-150 and this time it's been about 155-160 and we are having a girl.

My sons was over 150 until 32+ weeks. This little girl ranges from 140-160 so lower than her brothers. Heartbeat is not a good gender predictor.

Totally backwards for me! HB was usually in the mid 150s but he is all boy!! Wouldn't put much stock in the hb prediction method, but gender predictions are fun anyway!

My little ones heart rate was 168 and the technician said it was most likely a girl, but turns out its definitely going to be a boy!
