..ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!
I've never had any acid reflux anything before and I actually didn't know I was getting heartburn when I first started too. I thought to myself, "Dang every time I lay down to go to bed acid keeps splashing up my esophagus and burning and it sucks!" Turns out that's what heartburn is...
Anyway it's getting worse. Probably because I'm so far along now.. but it literally woke me up at 4:30 this morning because it felt like it had BURNED my lower throat area! I really hate tums but ate them anyway because I seriously couldn't take it. I drank lots of ice water just for the quick relief of the burning pain and the tums subsided the splashing up for a hour or so but it's coming back and I want to go back to bed ..oh and I can't take anymore tums for a while due to the directions on the box.
I'm so clueless with this problem because its something I haven't experienced before I got pregnant! What are you ladies doing to ease this symptom? Any natural remedies I could try? (besides a glass of milk because I've tried that..)
This is so irritating I can't wait to not have to deal with this one anymore!!
