How often do you have your heating on at this time of year? And what type of heating do you have?

We have central heating and its set up to come on at 5am until 8am and then 3pm until 8pm. But i get absolutely freezing at this time of day :cold:

I'm really feeling it this week as both kids are ill and i'm keeping them in to recooperate!

I have my heating on 5am until 8am and then it comes back 5.30 until about 10pm

I've got an air source heat pump, with a thermostat.. it's usually set on between 18 and 20 all the time. If it gets abit nippy I'll crank it up for 30 mins

We have central heating, it on for 30 mins ever few hours just to keep it toasty.

We have oil heating, it is set to come on from 6am-8am then from 6pm-10pm, but I will have it on a 1hr boost about 2-3 times during the day :)

we have oil fired heating. we live in an upside down house (ie bedrooms down&living areas up). we have the heating on downstairs from 6-8am and again from 3.30-6pm, it gets real cold downstairs (&doesnt stay warm for long either), upstairs we have the radiators turned off and we use our multifuel burner which heats the living room and the other rooms upstairs nicely. durring the day im ok as long as im busy, but if im not do feel cold durring the day.

We have central heating. It gets put on moderate when I get up at 6.30, then I put it down to 1 before I leave and it gets left at that til about 10pm.

we have oil heating and its on all the time in winter plus coal fires

We have gas central heating, and w have it on when it gets cold.
We dont have it set to come on at certain times.

Its been on for 2 hours now, and will get turned off in a mo.

We have gas central heating and we usually have it on from 5pm/6pm and then we turn it off when we go to bed :) I really appreciate our lovely heating because we lived in a flat 2 years ago that only had storage heaters that didn't even work so we had no heating for a year! We were lucky to have a small gas heater when it was snowing but it barely took the edge off the cold and only heated one room!

We have gas central heating. When DH and I were both out at work all day we had it on for an hour or so in a morning and then it came back on at about half 4 in the afternoon until about 10pm.

Now I'm on mat leave I don't have it on the timer, I just turn the thermostat up and down. We switch it to 0 at night before we go to bed, then DH turns it up to about 18 degrees when he gets up in a morning and it stays at that until about 4ish when the sun goes in and it gets colder then I turn it up.

The thermostat is in the living room so if I keep all the doors shut it heats up pretty quickly and the boiler isn't on constantly so it's not wasting money.

We're lucky to live in a flat built on National Trust Land so it has to be pretty eco friendly. I don't have the heating on at all in the morning & have just had it on for about 20 mins to take the chill off when I got in - might put it on for another 20 mins later tonight if its v cold - any longer than that & we're boiling!!

We have central heating and the thermostat is set to 19.5 degrees throughout the day, so the temperature is never any lower than that. We can't let our house get cold because Tegan has problems with regulating her temperature and keeping her healthy is more important than keeping money in our pockets! I bump it up at 20 degrees at 6pm and then 21 degrees from 7pm until midnight when it goes back to 19.5

We have gas central heating, Its programmed to come on at 6.30am until 9.30am. The house gets lovely and warm... Then it is programmed to come on for half an hour at lunchtime just to make Hannahs bedroom nice and cosy for her nap. Then it comes on again at 5pm until 11pm.

We have ours on all the time!! Well .. obv not when we are at work, thats a bit pointless

We've oil heating and an open fire, the heating comes on at 5am - 9am. If we're at home its on at 1pm -3pm for lo's nap, then on again at 6 -8pm. If we're at home I'll use peat to light the fire, we also have a superser in our hall just to keep the chill out as we've cermic tiles which don't hold the heat, ive also a few oil heaters in the rooms all day to keep the cold out due to the fact that we live in a bungalow and it doesnt keep the heat and my daughter has health issues which mean her temp doesnt regulate and she needs to stay warm 24/7.

My heating is on continuous and I turn it off myself using my thermostat. So when it gets cold I turn it up a bit or if its too warm I turn it off..

We have economy 7 heating and it is pants! I always have 2 extra heaters on in the living room and a heater on in LOs room overnight at a low power.
