I know the heightened sense of smell thing is true as it's been plaguing me for months. Is heightened sense of taste a pregnancy thing? Also does anyone know if plastic dishware has a tendency to absorb or retain a residue from dish soap?
The reason I ask is this: all of my MIL's dishware is plastic (we live with them). Last night while eating my dinner, I swore I could not smell dish soap but kind of taste it as well. Keep in mind their dishwasher is really old and doesn't rinse the best.
It actually made me lose my appetite. It also makes me want to go to like dollar tree or something a pick up some ceramic dishes for my own use, even if I have to hand wash them each time. Overboard?
