Help! another newbie!

Hubby picked up a huge bag of manky looking resuable nappies from freecycle. I know they've been washed etc, but some have loads of hair stuck in the velcro and all are very bobbled and uncomfortable looking!

I thought I would look up online to see what is worth keeping, but I don't know where to start! I know there are so many different types, but I have a while yet to research, so my question is...

.... Is there a useful website that can explain things for me? And I need very simple language - I have no idea what I am doing!!
