hello ladies i have asthma and its quite bad last year or so an since i have been pregnant well mostly last month the worst is today i am struggling to get my breath like wheezing what is the best thing to do as they say if your not getting enough oxygen neither is the baby sometime feel like going to have a asthma attack

I would go to the hospital, only because it's not something to mess with!

hello hun feeling better now think inhaler kicked in xx

I'm sorry I'm not much help. I never had asthma but i do have two blood clots in both od my lungs. So i think u know about the pain breathing

aww hun sorry to hear hope your better i can cope with asthma more than upse stomache n uti i have xx

hiya hun, I have asthma to and when im pregnant im even worse. the only way I've found to keep my breathing steady and not out of breath is to take it really and I mean really easy, I cant walk up the stairs with out getting wheezy so I have to take a brake half way up I have to slow work rather then a normal paste, ill avoid hills if I can.
I've also been put on steroid's for my breathing as it got that bad with my last pregnancy, try not to rush or stress relax take your time and paste your self it should ease a little bit. hope this helps xx

My asthma flared up a lot in first and third trimester. Keep a close eye on it and if it concerns you make sure you regularly get it checked out in case you need to go on prescription ventalin or a higher dose.

I don't have asthma but definitely continue in using your inhaler and speak to your OB/GYN about what else you can do.

I found that the asthma I haven't had since I was 3 came back just for my first tri :haha: I just borrowed my partners inhaler and used it as I needed it, helped a lot! So if you have an inhaler I say you'll be fine to use it, I told my doctor and she said using his was fine wont affect baby or what have you :)

Hello everyone thanks.for.your.advice I went doctors my asthma. Said my peak flow was quite low compare. to last year so she has.give me stronger.inhaler.for.awhile but if it gets
worse she.could.put me on a small dose of.steroid tablets.for a.small while but I'm going to try.and.cope..for.a bit xx

go talk to your doctor, asthma is greatly increased during pregnancy and labor so you may need a specialist if its bad or medication/special inhalators

I haven't had an attack really since I was a toddler apart from the month surrounding birth when I had full blown attacks out of no where

it is safe to take ur asthma meds during pregnancy in fact they use the same stuff to help preterm moms keep there babies in..\
if you are still taking your meds and its still bad i would tell your doctor so they can monitor you and give you something to help...
feel better
