ive just ate almost a full big tub of ben annd jerrys cookie dough, on the website it says they only use pasteurized eggs, but on the back it says "eggs" is it safe?!

I'm sure your fine, before I started reading my book I wasn't aware of this too and ate A LOT of feta, and a lot of the women said it was ok. What I would check is the rough cookie dough. I don't think you should be having raw dough as it most likely has raw eggs.

What I would do is google and see what others have said. *Google Syndrome* lol

"pregnant women craving ice cream can still have their Ben & Jerry's! All of the milk, cream, as well as the eggs used in our products are pasteurized during the production process. Also, add-ins such as raw cookie dough or brownie batter found in our product are made with pasteurized eggs. "

That's what their website says

I thought we couldn't have it because of the cookie dough and something that ben and jerry uses. will have to ask my midwife if we can when I see her, ben and jerry's are half price in Tesco at the moment :(

Well then, I'd probably say your safe. lol :happydance:

I really want Ben and Jerrys cookie dough ice cream now haha. I was always told that Ben and Jerrys use all safe products to eat while pregnant and it was one of the few ice creams you could trust an excuse if you ask me to buy the expensive stuff haha!! x

It's totally fine don't worry. I eat soft cooked eggs all the time. the amount of eggs will be minimal, plus its patuerised. Above all it has been frozen.

I have a tub in my freezer from Tesco :) the half price was too good to resist :) and I never doubted it'd be safe to eat - I trust they wouldn't put any dodgy or risky ingredients in I've cream aimed at kids as well as grown ups :) xxxxxxx ENJOY ladies xxxxxxx
