Help....detecting Surge on Clomid Question????

Hello....

I am so concerned....I have done the Ovulation Predictor kit and I have not gotten a dark test line than the reference line. Over the course of two days I got faint lines...cd 14...cd 15....then on cd 16 I got a good line but it was not the-same-darkness or darker than the reference line (it was slightly lighter). Now its cd 17 and I got a really faint line again.

Does this mean I did not get my surge??? WIll I get a surge later on in this cycle?? Should I switch from clomid to something different?? Has this happened to anyone?? What should I do??

I am on 100 mg of clomid...cd 5 through 9.

ok, have you ovulated on clomid before, if so, what cycle day?
do you have PCOS?
when are you taking the OPKs?

I believe that clomid can stop you getting a definite positive on an OPK. Something to do with increasing the estrogen levels to the point where they are greater than the luteinising hormone levels. I was told that if you O yourself, then your OV date won't change on clomid, and if you don't normally O, then your O date will be between 7 and 11 days after your last tablet.

Are you not being monitored to check for growing follicles and subsequent O?

I don't have PCOS. I started the opk's on cd 12, I took the clomid 100 mg cd 5 thru 9. I don't know if I have ovulated on clomid. I am trying to find out. Is the fact that I did not get a positive opk an indication that I am not o'ing??? I will continue to bd every-other-day to be sure.
