I'm new to cloth and have been buying various nappies both new and preloved. I bought one nappy off someone on CNT (unused) which I thought was an EasyFit. However, comparing it to the other EasyFit I've got, I think it's actually a Flexi Tot as the middle fabric goes right to the edges and the outside does not feel like PUL like the other one.

I'm going to mention to the seller that she needs to be more careful with her descriptions (she actually called it an Easy Bot but I just assumed she meant Easy FIT and actually asked her 'how much for the Easy Fit?' and I wasn't corrected by her saying 'actually it's a flexi').

Anyway, are the Flexi Bots any good? I'm unsure whether to try and get the seller to take it back (or sell it on myself) or whether to give it a go anyway . I didn't particularly want any two part nappies and all my others are AIO or pockets so I would need to buy a wrap if I keep this one.

So are they any good? If so, is it best to buy a Tots Bots wrap or something else (I hear a lot of people using Motherease ones but don't know if they would fit this nappy).

Which version Easyfits do you have? I'm just thinking that it might be an Easyfit V1 rather than a Flexitot... I used to have some white V1s and they felt quite different to the V2s. Could you post a photo? Or there should be a tag in the nappy somewhere. I think also that the latest version of Flexitots only have one extra row of poppers to adjust the rise, whereas Easyfits have more.

The best wraps are either Popolini/Motherease or Nature Babies. I'm not impressed with either flexitots or Tots Bots wraps myself. The flexitots have a coolmax type outer, which isn't waterproof, so you would certainly need a wrap if it's a flexitots. (Actually I never saw the point in putting coolmax outside a nappy!) They are also sized nappies, whereas the easyfix is a onesize nappy. If it was me, I'd get on touch, and ask her if she would accept it back, as it's not either what she described, or what you were looking for. I've never heard of an East Bot nappy!
Good luck whatever you decide to do anyway.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that it's a V2 Flexi and not a V1 EasyFit. It is BTP as it has multiple rows of poppers but it does look like this one on the TB site https://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.427532/it.A/id.1982/.f?sc=7&category=3897

Not sure whether to try a wrap (thanks for the rec Litle Pants) or just see if she will take it back.

If you're sure it's a flexitot and you're not into fitteds, I would just tell her you want a full refund including postage both ways. What section did you buy it from on CNT? If it was in the pockets and AIOs section, she can't possibly say that you're in the wrong. If it was in the fitteds section though, I think you might have to compromise.

Oh, even if you're not into fitteds, it might be good to try it anyway (but I would ask for a partial refund still, depending on how much you paid, as I wouldn't pay as much for a Flexitot as an Easyfit). When I didn't use fitteds, I used to use the odd one we had for the last nappy change of the day before bed, when LO needs changing about an hour before bedtime. I never bothered with a wrap cos they wouldn't get completely soaked through in that time. It's a good way to air baby's bum if you can't do proper nappy off time.

Rachel - it was in the AIO/pocket section. HOWEVER, it was a destash type post where she was getting rid of lots of things - inlcuding things like liners, wraps, wipes etc - so not everything was in the same category. I guess technically people should sepearate their lists out so that everything is in the correct category but lots of people don't and probably choose the category where the majority of items fit (or they cross post).

Is it plain white? Because if not, the pattern is a good clue as to what it is.

I do like tots bots wraps, and nature babies multiwraps but any wrap will fit. Motherease airflow wraps are said to be the best ever, but they are baggy and I prefer a slimmer fit for putting clothes under so my opinion is that they're not all they're cracked up to be.

I don't like CNT because I think there are too many chancers on it.

How much did you pay for the nappy? Definitely an older model like yours might be is worth less than a new-release v2 easyfit.

I hate TB wraps! If you want to use a wrap with it, just use a Flip.

I'd send it back, or do what Rach suggested and use it without a cover to let LO have some air to his bum. I only use fitteds in the house (Bitti Boos) cos I can't be bothered with a two part system, and it's a good opportunity to let his bum breathe while he's playing- as soon as the outside starts feeling wet, I whip it off.

jenstar - it is plain white. I'm pretty sure that it is a new version BTP flexitot. I paid £9.50 for it. The seller said she paid £15 new for it (another reason I assumed it was and Easy Fit as that is how much the white ones generally retail for, with the patterned ones being about £17).

Jetters - I hadn't thought about using a Flip, but I suppose they are essentially wraps aren't they?!

Think I will try to see if the seller would take it back. If not I'll either sell it on myself (reckon I'll be selling the preloved Ittis I bought anyway - from a different seller - as we're not getting a good fit with them) of I'll keep it to use wrapfree for short periods or use with the Flip. Don't really want to fork out for a wrap for a nappy I didn't really want.

Well at £9.50 you haven't been ripped off, so although it is hassle for you to sell it on yourself you should get that back for it or thereabouts. Fitteds don't lose as much money second-hand because there is less that can go wrong with them compared to pockets/ AIO where you have the worry of the PUL cracking and the elastic going (because there is only the one bit of elastic between the poo and baby's clothes so it HAS to be right.)

If you think you were mis-sold see if she will take it back and save yourself the hassle of selling it yourself.

Thanks jenstar. I'm not sure it was deliberately mis-sold. I guess sometimes people can just be a bit vague about what they are selling or can't really remember what stuff is.

Good to know that they tend to hold their value though if I sell it on myself.
