Hi Everyone! I am new to this board so please bare with me.. I'm totally confused right now and would feedback of what you might think is going on..

Last month I started working with Infertility Clinic and had all tests done (HSG,SHG,Bloodwork,Ultrasounds etc.) My results were that I have a hypothyroid and low Progesterone. I started Prometrium (progesterone) for the hypothyroid a few weeks ago and will be starting the prometrium 3 days after I ovulate this cycle. (Here is why I need your input..)

Last month ultrasound and OPT showed I ovulated on CD23. Now this month I got a positive OPT on CD14. Also along with positive OPT I had all the classic ovulating signs: EWCM w/blood tinge to it, sore boobs, exhausted, cramping. I definetly think I ovulated, but is it possible? Could the Synthroid I took help to bring on ovulation earlier? I called my Fert Clinic and the nurse said I should not put alot of hope into the OPT because I could be having a double LH surge this month. Has anyone ever had that happen? The reason that it is so important for me to pinpoint if I actually ovulated is because I have to start progesterone 3 days after ovulation. But if I take it too early I could delay ovulation or not ovulate at all.

Any help or feedback would be so appreciated!!

Your nurse should have given you more feedback. Did she mention when to take it? Or has she told you to wait for the next LH surge? Personally I do trust OPK's, a lot of women don't but they've always been pretty reliable for me, but not exact. In fact the month I did get a BFP I never actually got a postive OPT. That said I wasn't testing all the time, so may have missed it.

I would go back to your DR, no one here should be telling you when to take the progesterone, that should be medical advice. Did you try more then 1 OPT? Perhaps it was a fault with it? I'm just throwing around ideas here

Wishing you lots of luck
