We are pregnant with our eighth and our rainbow <3 I have a strong feeling we are having a girl but want both girl and boy options :) I would like a name that represents or has some type of connection with our angels, miracle, rainbow... That sort of thing.

Our angels are named:
Elijah Alexander
Hope
Stephen (Stefan) Alexander
-Larsen Baby and Dragonfly for our two early losses-

------------
I have a few names I like but husband doesn't care for them much.

Theres a post on here with names meaning rainbow and similar.

Some ideas: Iris - rainbow,
Imogen - longed for child,
faith,
Grace
Phoebe - bright shining one
As for boys:
John - gift from God,
Beau - stole this idea from previous thread (as in the last part of the word rain'bow'). It also french for handsome 😀.
Gabriel
Raphael
Theodore
Congratulations on your rainbow baby xx

:flower::flower:

Hope
Mia - A wished for child
Madison - Gift of god
Victoria - Victory:thumbup:
Belle - Beautiful

Owen - Lucky
Reuben - behold a son
Breden - Prince

My SIL named her daughter Milagros (Spanish for Miracle) because she wasn't supposed to live. We call her Milie =)

Congratulations! :hugs:
Girls:
Mireille (French, meaning miracle)
Beatrix (Latin, meaning bringer of happiness and blessed)
Eve (various variations of the meaning living one/lively/life)
Esther (star)
Isabel (God's promise)

Boys:
Bennet (Latin, means blessing)
Benedict (Latin again :haha:, from Benedictus, meaning blessed)
Theodore (Greek origin, meaning God's gift)

We are leaning towards Iris, for a similar reason (two losses). I read this on a blog somewhere while searching for a name, and really liked it-

Iris means "Rainbow," and while that in itself is not a terribly profound meaning, God created the rainbow as a promise. Because we felt that God had promised us that despite all of the hubbub around this baby and her well-being, it was all going to be okay, it seemed natural to choose a name that reflected His fulfillment of that promise. I also liked the link with Iris as a part of the eye--and the connection that our baby girl was in God's eye the whole time. Psalm 139:16 says "Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them."

Sometimes I worry that it migh be weird to the child to be named after losses, I dont know though. Something I struggle with when deciding on the name, anyway.

First of all, thank you to everyone that has responded!! :) Oddly, with my first we didn't pick a name until I was overdue. One of the names my husband really liked and at the time I couldn't stand was Iris. I am getting a like to it now though. Our first loss was our son Elijah Alexander, we got pregnant with another boy and named him Stephen (Stefan) Alexander, we ended up losing him too but they shared the same middle name so it was really special and not weird at all. A lot of people have different views on it, I found it normally from those who had never had such a loss. We have five angels now, two boys, one girl and two early losses so we don't have one name that this baby could share. That's why I'm looking into other meanings that still connect them all.
