Is it possible for my milk to come out to fast for baby? When she's eating it sounds like she is having a hard time keeping up. She takes big gulps and sometimes even couchs and sputters a little. Just wondering if this is normal and if there is anything I can do about it

Yep, it sounds like a fast let-down issue. I have a similar thing, it can be a pain!

One thing you can do is unlatch your baby after they first start sucking and let some milk spray into a towel/cloth, so that your LO isn't having to deal with that first fast let-down of milk.

As the feed goes on, does she slow down a bit, or does she struggle all the way through? I also have an oversupply issue, which means that I block feed - feed three hours on one breast, then swap sides for the next three hours etc - as opposed to feeding both sides on one feed. However - I wouldn't try this until you know that oversupply is an issue and that you are sure your LO is gaining weight well.

KellyMom has some good info - it's a great BF resource!
