Hi ladies my maternity pay ends in about a month and I live near a tesco which is basically the only place I could work and there is no jobs available. All I seem to be entitled to is job seekers. I live with my partner and we share the rent but he pays all bills. My half of the rent is 275 so job seekers obv doesn't cover it we get child benefit and child tax credit but we use that for food shopping and stuff for lo eg nappies milk clothes. I don't know what I'm going to do I'm royally screwed I looked into income support but my partner works more than 24 hours he can't afford to pay for everything. And also I can't get to a job centre very easy on a bus with lo every 2 weeks!

Can you not get a job further away and get a bus?

Have you look into housing benefits in your council?they might be able to help you with rent and council tax.

How about working tax credits?

You'll be entitled to working tax credit as your OH works 24hrs. You should also be able to get housing benefit hopefully. Xx
