Hi
I started weaning my son when he was 5 months (as was advised by health visitor). He is now 7 and a half months.
He is happy on the stage 1 pots of food, and loves finger foods, however I am finding it really difficult to make the transition to the next stage up of the pots of baby foods - he just spits the bits out and won't eat them.
I try giving him water in between to help it go down and digest - but still no joy. (he has always drank quite a lot of water)

He has no trouble chewing and swallowing crisp carrot stick things and baby biscotti biscuits or bread etc - just these damn pots of food!!

Any one have any advice on how I can aid him to get onto this 2nd stage?

Thanks

Shelley

Have you tried making your own?
That way you can start off with tiny lumps and gradually make them bigger.

What I did was make the meals separately, then puree some, for example the meat and potato parts, and then leave the carrots or what ever in small lumps.

I had this problem with Austin, i just kept trying every other day and after a week or 2 he gave in and ate it xx
