Help, we need to boost hubbys morphology count in his seman or we wont be reffered :(

Well me and hubby have been TTC for over 2 yrs and just going through the process of being referred by the NHS, ( i have mild PCO no periods whats so ever, ive had the scan and bloods, all my bloods and hormones where fine ) but husband has had the sperm test and every came back ok apart from the morphology its a little under the average ( the average is 15% but they like it to be at least 5% , my husband got 4%) so the test needs to be done again in 4 weeks and we are wondering what tablets can we get to boast this? any advise is great thanks if it comes back under again they said they cant referred us on the NHS

My hubbys samples have all been really different but his last one was classed as normal and had improved loads. He has been taking zinc, selenium, vit C, Macca and l'arginine - all from Holland and Barratt. Sperm does take about 3 months to form so not sure how much success you will have in 4 weeks but definitely get him popping those pills : )

This is funny (not in a ha ha way). We had our 2nd NHS appointment and asked to see the professor this time (head guy). I asked about the morphology as we were a bit down about his poor levels (5% and 7%). He said they don't count it!! This is Glasgow Royal- one of the main hospitals in Scotland offering NHS- IVF etc. Another specialist told us that the average had been reduced by the WHO from 14% to 4% as men these days don't tend to have high morphology levels and generally conceive with the lower levels. We're not entirely convinced, but if DH's count is pretty good then it shouldn't really matter as it levels out x

my DH has 1% morphology on his one and only test, they told us morphology does not count as its inclusive as to whether or not is of much signifcance.

What will that not refer you for if your DH's morpholgy remains low?

My DH is classed as normal with 1% ad yours is not normal with 4%, how on earth cn that be??

Its very upsetting and worrying, I don't know what to belive??
