We live in a small 2bdrm apartment. I thought id ask for help here since i know in the UK, apartments are small! My issue is my living room (and my kitchen, but i cant change that!).
Its getting cold here and the baseboard heat is on, so i need to re-do the layout so we can get the most out of our baseboard heat! HELP!

The things to know:
Living Rm is ABOUT 8wx14l with 1 window and 1 door. The dining room is off the living room.
I have to keep all furniture pictured IN the room. (Sewing machine, Chair, small side table, coffee table, couch, desk, wardrobe, buffet, tv)

Here is the NOW layout.

Hmm, is that to scale? as if so there isnt much moving about you could do really. as it looks like there is no heat behind the tv, which you want it like that.

yes, its pretty accurate to show the placement and room. (or lack of). I just need to get the couch away from the heater, its the biggest wall so the most heat but i dont know where to put it!

It seems a bit crazy that they would have the dining room like that? From the drawing it seems like the most natural thing is to have a barrier between the kitchen and living room with no dining room? I guess that's no help to you though! To be honest I think the best layout is the way it is now x

You could try the sofa with the back towards the wall where the window is, the TV about level with the dining room wall so the kitchen is separated by it.
you could also try having everything at an angle, so move sewing machine to bottom left corner, have sofa at an angle across the bottom left corner, move chair to right of sofa, Anthe coffee table directly in front of sofa. Either leave TV as it is or angle on opposite corner to sofa.
X

Could you just move sofa forward abit if other ideas don't work to get the heat? :flower:

The kitchen is behind the wall with the TV/Buffet. In the picture, i sectioned off the dining room so you knew it was space i cant fill.

I can take an actual picture if you think it will help?
