Ok, so you like Ellie so what about 'Elle', could be the first syllable of your mother's name and the last syllable of you OHs mum's name... You've honoured them both without using their name specifically.

ellie-boe is lovely! altho, i prefer boe spelt like beau (meaning beautiful ), i also like the Elle idea, very clever, could be the perfect compromise. Just dont call ur daughter something you're not happy with x

i wanted something for my dad and mum in the name, so i chose rubie for my mum and dad and that is the resturant where he proposed to my mum, try and find out some finer details like that, you could suprise yourself.
but im haveing a boy anyway so its not really relevent any more,
