we have just found out we are having a girl anyway, i like tha name Carly, also like Kirsty,but i like Amelia,but my daughters sperm donor dumped me for a girl called Amelia, so i was thinking if i changed the A to an E making Emilia would that be ok? or would that be a bit wierd? we havnt seen either of them for like 9 years as he has notninhg to do with us, with suits us fine, we also live in a completely different town to them

I like Emillia, but LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Carly! My fav name, and if my sister in law hadn't stolen it, I would definitely use it.

I think it would be fine to use Amelia or Emilia... as long as you don't feel negatively towards the name... which obviously you don't. I don't see why it would matter? Especially since it was a long time ago, they aren't in your life, & they don't live near you! Kristy & Carly are cute, too!
