Hi everyone...
I'm just wondering if anyone can help me.. as I'm 27 wks pregnant now and av a short cervix of 28mm for the last few weeks now n have to go back for another scan on thursday... I have 2 children n have lost 3 babies previously since my cervical treatment several years ago.. hence the weakness to the cervix... my consultant started me on steroids when I was 24 wks n my lil baby girl is seeming to respond well to this... but I'm getting really concerned now as my partner left me when I was 12 wks pregnant due to him not wanting anymore children n giving me the choice of him or my baby.. and as the obvious I chose my baby.. Iv been on bed rest for the last 3 wks and had to give up work... as my consultant has said that there is too much risk to put the stitch in due to the damage caused through my previous ops... and now I'm getting scared as iv started getting braxton hicks and I'm worried about how long my cervix can last.. is my baby goin to be ok.. and I'm also worried about my other 2 children as its just me n them at home... any information anyone has would b deeply appreciated...
thank you...

xoxo

I can't help I am afraid as I have no experience. I just wanted to give you :hugs:. Are your children at school? Do you have family to help?

Awww thanks huni.. :) yeah my kids are in school... But no i don't have a supportive family around me but I do have fantastic friends... Just more its the not knowing how long I could have left and I have had a few days of braxton hicks and a constant dull ache everytime I'm walking around I just get scared as I don't wanna be calling on my friends when it could be a false alarm and al my friends have partners.. jobs and their own lives to lead... Xoxo

I know what that is like- my family never help me and my disabled son out. It gets you down when you genuinely need help but have no one to turn to. I hope baby holds on in there. Shame on the father.

Awwww bless you huni... Your picture of your son.. is gorgeous...he's a very handsome lil fella... And he's lucky to have a very caring mum.. You are right about the family part.. It does hurt... Especially when you've always been there for them all in the past.. But hey that's a lesson learnt... And as for my ex... well he isn't even worth another thought in my mind.... It'll be his lose when he see's her and she doesn't know who he is.. Thank you for your kind words sweet.. :hugs: hope you all the best.. :) xoxo

I was in the same boat with you. My cervix was shortened due to surgeries. I had my little baby girl at 26 weeks old. My cervix was only 13mm since the start of my pregnany. I was put on complete rest from day one. Not allowed being up for more than 15 minutes. I had steroid injections in the hospital afer my water broke at 25+6 and she lasted 4 more days in my belly before deciding it was time to come out. She came out via csection because of all the surgeries on my cervix it was so scarred up it would not dialate. Just keep resting and drinking loads of water and eat like a piggy! Shes got a fighting chance now! I know how scary it is. From the day I fell preggy I was always scared not knowing if she was going to come early. I always said I felt like a ticking time bomb. I always set my mond on if she can hold in till vday. When vday came I breathed a slight sigh of relief and then set my goal a week a head. I even told my hubby i had a feeling she was coming early. But shes 32 weeks now in the hospital and doing fabulous. xoxox.
Third tri is overrated anyway lolol
2 weeks before my water broke i started having really bad pains in my lower belly and my back but thought it was nothing. I had also gone to the hospital before xmas with belly pain and they sent me home saying it was BH. Be aware of the pains and don't be afraidd to go get checked. My labor pains were all super low in my pelvis and in my back and hips. They never once could pick up a contraction higher in my belly despite me telling them the pains were low they didn't understand un til I finally had one nurse that listened to me and felt my lower tummy and was like ohhhhhhhh it's baby time!
