HI all, - i've posted this in introductions but then i noticed this thread-- hope you dont mind the double post
This is my first pregnancy and to say the least i feel as naive as a virgin's first time. I am slightly suprised to have got to 36 and to realise i know nothing about being pregnant.
Just found out on Monday that I am 5 weeks pregnant... i've been on the pill and must have had a little mis hap and here i am! I'm now over the initial shock, and just in slight shock, but feeling giddy stage
I was quite suprised to find out i was pregnant, and only found out because i went to my nurse to find out the cause of my discomfort down below and no period.....
Imagine my suprise when the nurse said perhaps i was pregnant and got me to take a test!
I didnt even realise you can get a dull ache in pregnancy, and have been worried something was wrong the last couple of days, but have realised that this is generally normal feeling? almost like really mild period ache and tingly sensation?
so I will be glued to this forum, because as i've said, I know nothing NOTHING about the stages of pregnancy, and its all a bit terrifying and exciting.
My other half is still taking deep breaths from a paper bag as a type.. .. he has 2 older children to a seperate relationship, and is thinking "old dad lol"... but liking the idea..
So ok, sorry for the long ramble... I hope to gleem lots of things from you all as i share this experience with you.
