Hi, i'm new!

Hi, i haven't been into internet forums of a while, but i really feel i need a place to share and learn since i've become pregnant. I feel like i've fallen of the sanity wagan most days.

I'm 23, and this is my first pregnancy. It wasn't planned, but i really feel it was meant to happen. I'm 16 weeks along. The father is away working for 6 months and will only be home for the last month, so i'm doing alot of stuff on my own.

I have a family of beautiful cats which most people think will be an issue. Most people figured i would end up the old crazy cat lady, not a mom. Life is funny.

Welcome starling!!! I think you will like it here especially if hubby is not there with you right now.. The ladies here are very supportive and willing to help with any questions you may have (well they have been for me thus far!!) I'm not sure about the cats because I didn't have any pets around my newborn.. Maybe thats something that you should ask your Dr. about but I don't think that it should be an issue. I've seen it a lot and the pets/baby usually adjust just fine. Congrats on your pregnancy and if you ever need to talk don't be a stranger!!

Hello Starling!

Congratulations! My husband also works away, but luckily I do get to see him every weekend, but it is tough. I think this forum is going to be great for keeping in touch and having great support when we really need it. This is the first time I have ever used an internet forum and it seems easy!

Thank you for the welcomes. I forgot to say, my older sister is pregnant too, a few weeks ahead of me with her 5th pregnancy, so the father may be away working, but at least i have my sister going through the same things.
