High Risk Pregnancies

I was high risk before because I was over 35 with twins. Ended up with preterm labor at 24 weeks and delivered at 30 weeks. I've been wondering with my history and now I am 39 in April if I would automatically be high risk even if I was carrying a singleton for pregnancy #2?

I'd call and talk to your doc and ask. It usually depends on several factors

Aren't all twin pregnancies treated like high risk? I don't think age counts very much toward the high risk category unless you have other factors or you are REALLY old. I had to deal with a lot of the high risk docs last time just for GD but now I am 42 and after I passed my last glucose screening test they don't even want to see me again. Yay! Not even to weigh me, ha ha.

I'm pretty sure I will be too...My boy twin was born with 2 genetic defects....one life threatening (required surgery at 2 months when discovered) and one that wasn't but has required 4 surgeries by the end of this year to correct.

I like the extra care and attention I will admit!
