Hind water leak......

Does anyone have any experience on this- started leaking this
Morning and before I spoke to midwife I've never heard
Of 'hind waters' ..... I've now been told as long as I'm leaking I have to be on bed rest ........

my waters are leaking and ive only been discharged from hospital this morning with antibiotics after 3 days of monitoring, apparently waters can 'replenish' themselves but its the risk of infection they worry about, i may be getting induced around 37 if i stay infection free in the meantime. Have you been checked out? x

Only to confirm it's my waters - they just said they think It's hind waters which might heal itself or might just continue to leak... Which will b ok as long as my body replenishes to keep up with the leak.... But I have to go on bed rest at home as long as I'm leaking - that's all the info i have.....

if your worried call them again, they just kept me in for 3 days. Ive got to go in twice a week now for scan and bloods till baby arrives. x

I don't think I'm leaking a massive amount- they said I have to call again if I'm filling a pad in an hour - Which I'm not at the moment x

With my first, I was leaking water toward the end (at 39+4), but not contracting. Since I was so close to my due date, they admitted me and induced my labor. They didn't realize that it was just my hind waters - thought my bag had broken. Regardless, I had to deliver soon because they were worried about infection. Eventually, they had to break my "fore bag" as well. Had my DD within 24 hours of my hind waters leaking.

i feel like ive been trickling since friday but its not alot and its if ive been lying down and then if i stand up i leak? anyone else experienced this? and could this be anything?xxx

no advice hun as I have never even heard of hind waters until reading a thread earlier. can anyone explain. and I'm confused how do you know if it is a lot of discharge or waters. Is it just thats its clear ive been geting alot of discharge bt wetness aswel but im not sure if it jus wee leaking although it doesnt smell like wee. should i be worried? been getn pain down below too w

My hind waters started leeking with my second son at 32 weeks, but we are talking 18 years ago now. It means your back waters and you won't go into labour til your fore waters break (front). They will let the pregnancy go on with regular scans to see that the water is replenishing and that baby is still growing ok. With less water baby tends to grow slower or stop growing and when that happens they will induce labour. Hope this has helped a little but as I said this is near enough 18 years ago now and I'm not sure if policy has changed since then xxx
