So it's 3:30am here and I cant sleep because my Right Hip hurts really bad , I dont know how to describe(sp?) the pain. Almost feels like its out of place, its also really hard in my pelvic area. Is this normal or should I be worried? I think Ive had this before but was able to go back to sleep by changeing postions, not tonight though. Any insight would be helpful. BTW Im 12weeks yesterday

hi hun it is normal, it has a name ?? but I cannot remember, I would definatly mention it to your midwife when you next see him or her Im sure there are things they can do to help.

:hugs: Thank you for answering, Ive only had a few hours of sleep. Im just worried because the right side is so hard and the left feels normal. On the bright side its gotten be up early, Ive taken a shower and had breakfest before 9am lol The pain is unbareable when Im laying down. My appt with my OBGYN is Wed, so I hope it gets better before then though!

Hi VanWest, I have had this before too. It use to wake me up out of my sleep at times and it use to hurt pretty badly in the mornings when I tried to turn over or get out of bed. I think it's normal and comes and goes but for each person it's severity differs.

Check out this link on Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) and see if it applies. It is not something to be highly concerned about though :)

Mango, thank you VERY much for that link, I def have the symptoms of SPD. So Im not going to worry. I really didnt want to take any med's but Ive broken down and have. Oh well now Im less stressed and not in so much pain! :D

My doctor said its fine to take Tylenol whenever I am really sore or cramping. Hope the pain goes away soon!

luckyme , mine did to, but Ive tried not to, but I gave in today hehe :D

I have had this a few times too, but mostly during the day. I stand all day at work so I thought maybe that was what was causing it... It definatly doesnt feel good though!

I've just been dealing with this curently as well! Although I have had it before. One of my legs is a bit shorter than the other and because I stand at work every day I think it's causing the inflammation. It regularly comes and goes. Makes yoga a bit harder for me :(
Yesterday it was hurting more when I tried to bend over or crouch. But I don't worry about it too much.
