So i'm 5 weeks & 5 days, i can feel my morning sickness kicking in.
As soon as i wake up i just have this sick feeling in my chest and i have been avoiding it for the past 3 days.
I feel like if i let myself vomit, then i won't be able to stop.
(Like when you pee for the first time on a night out drinking then you have to go every 5 minutes!! :laugh2: )

My food aversions are playing havoc with me, everything i am normally ok to eat i just don't want anymore.
I really want to just stick my head in the toilet but i am dreading it!
I work in a supermarket on the checkout so if i need to be sick i am going to either have to run to the loo as fast as i can or use the till bin in front of customers. Not looking forward to it at all.

When did you first let yourself vomit ladies?
Have you suffered with it at work?
Any tips for keeping your sick feelings away?

Sorry to have ranted but i need to get it off my chest, driving me insane!!
Thanks :flower:

Hi Mrs C,

My ms started at 6 weeks, just feeling sick mainly and going off food. By about 7 weeks I started throwing up. I find that once I have actually been sick I feel better. I am now 11 + 2 and still being sick. Ive kinda gotten used to it, you just throw up, then get on with things! Fortunately it's been early morning or late night so I've not been sick at work.

My tips would be don't let your tummy get empty or full, eat 6 evenly portioned meals or snacks throughout the day, my sickness is worse if I'm hungry or full!

Hope this helps and you are feeling better soon

Thanks hun, that's a great help! I find that at work if i don't eat for 3-4 hours then it gets a lot worse so i think i just need to ask if i can take a quick break to have a bite to eat.
I knew ms was coming but it still sucks when you feel this way lol
Hope you have a wonderful, happy and healthy pregnancy :D xx

My morning sickness seems to start about half an hour after I get up and ends about 10pm :(

I'll be feeling sick ALL day.. and from about 11am to 7pm i'll be vomiting like it's no body's business

I work in a supermarket as well. Can you ask if you can work on a different department hun? Being on checkouts when you're feeling so ill must be horrible.

If I need to be sick, then I let myself. At the minute, it's afternoons and night that's the worst for me. I feel like crap! Although I have no appetite at all, having to force myself.

I've not been sick at work yet but I've not done any lates since I've started feeling ill. Not looking forward to having to run to the loos infront of people

Ginger and B6 is meant to help. I've not tried B6 yet as I've got it in my pregna care and I want to check I won't be taking too much.
I've heard a lot of women say ginger biscuits. I tried it in my last pregnancy and it didn't help xx

I feel for you hun, my sickness started at 6 wks to the day and has not yet left me (2wks on)... Some days are better than others though! With regards to food i can take it or leave although i have found that when i eat i dont feel as bad, but its managing to eat and keeping it down, thats the problem.

I personally dont like being sick and so far i have managed to get away with only being sick once, im sure if i let myself i could quite easily be sick all day every day!

Just live in hope that this feeling will go and are babies are growing well the whole time we are sick.

Good luck and i wish you a happy healthy pregnancy. x x x

I work in retail too, though thankfully the shop i'm in is a smaller one with only 3 aisles. But I still got lumbered on the till for the entire shift.. and had to make several breaks for the bathroom.

The most annoying part is clearly being unwell and trying very hard to keep it down whilst finishing the transaction.. and getting dirty looks off the customer. How dare you feel poorly!

(I hate retail. Can you tell?)

When my morning sickness was really bad, I couldn't even walk around the grocery store without wanting to puke my guts out. One day, I just bought one thing went to the parking lot and was throwing up next to some poor ladies car. (Not on it, thank goodness, but I still felt terrible that it was near her car. BUT I COULDN"T HOLD IT IN ANY LONGER!)

So i'm 5 weeks & 5 days, i can feel my morning sickness kicking in.

I am at 5 weeks 5 days :happydance: and yes ms for me is like Night sickness in the mornings I am fine but at night when people start cooking their nasty food i can smell it a mile around and it makes me gag, gag gag

6 weeks here. and due to my experience of severe ms, i recommend not holding it in because you will feel much worse. just let it all out and u will feel better. if you have to throw up you have to throw up. it sucks! im on diclectin. im out of pills on friday and im gonna see how im feeling then and im hoping i wont need to refill because its $100 for 2 weeks. i am 10 weeks on thursday and i still throw up off and on but i think the placenta is starting to take over so am feeling better plus the diclectin helps. good luck to u
